Like man, the dog experiences different moods. Learning to discern the emotions of your pet makes it easier to understand and contribute to its happiness.

Like the human being, the dog experiences feelings and manifests emotions. Every master must be attentive to it, in order to better meet the needs of his animal, to educate him in an adapted way and to make him happy. Discover the different feelings of the dog and how to learn to recognize them.

The dog's emotions towards his master
  • The dog is capable of experiencing joy and demonstrating it to his master. When he stirs his tail, when he returns home, he shows him, for example, that he is happy to see him again. He takes the same attitude when he knows he's going for a ride... This is usually an easy-to-decipher feeling for the master.
  • A dog may experience jealousy towards another person to whom his master pays more attention. It may be a child, a spouse or another animal. In this case, he may prove to be nasty or disrespectful to the one he jealous.
  • The dog is very sensitive to the emotions and feelings of his master. He knows if he is loved and he may suffer from being neglected by it.
The dog and the feeling of fear: that of others and his
  • A dog is able to feel the fear it arouses in a human or other animal. This gives him a sense of superiority, which leads him to not respect the one he considers weaker than himself. When it comes to its master, it becomes dangerous.
  • He may experience fear, especially when he understands that he is going to go to the vet. In this case, he starts shaking like a human being and lowers his ears. It also happens that he hides for hours and remains untraceable.
